Stroud preaches regularly and has primary responsibility for Christian Education programs including the Senior High Youth Group, confirmation classes, Church School for all ages and the DISCIPLE Bible Study program. She is the staff liaison for FUMCOG's Welcoming and Outreach Cluster, and also works with other church groups including Family Life, Parents of Young Children, and Senior Friends.) In addition, Beth is active in the camping program of the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference and has helped lead rock climbing and adventure camps for youth. She holds an M.Div. degree from Union Theological Seminary and an A.B. in English from Bryn Mawr College. After Beth was defrocked by the United Methodist Church on December
2, 2004, the FUMCOG staff-parish relations committee promptly re-hired
her as a lay minister with the same title and equivalent compensation --
except she no longer presides over baptism or communion.

Ready Set Go! consulting provides her a platform through which she can work with a variety of non-profits and small businesses. In addition, Chris is particularly interested in working on transgender and anti-racism concerns within progressive faith communities and works with a facilitation partner to lead anti-raism seminars for white women. Chris holds a bachelor's degree in math, computer science, and religion from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, VA. She was raised in the Christian Reformed and Presbyterian traditions and has attended Tabernacle United Church in West Philadelphia for more than 10 years. |
