Beth Stroud Legal Defense Fund

The administrative council of the First United Methodist Church of Germantown (FUMCOG) has established a legal defense fund to help cover costs associated with Beth’s judicial process.
As we begin preparations for the case to go to the Judicial Council of The United Methodist Church, the legal fund is depleted from previous appeal expenses. Beth's clergy counsel and all of the attorneys working on the case are donating their time and expertise. However, at each stage of the judicial process there are expenses related to printing, mailing, research, and travel. We have also had to hire a media relations consultant to prevent the church office from being completely overwhelmed.

You can make a donation to the Beth Stroud Legal Defense Fund by sending a check to the FUMCOG church office,

FUMCOG
6023 Germantown Avenue
Philadelphia, PA 19144

Please make checks out to FUMCOG and indicate “Beth Stroud Legal Fund.”

Like all contributions to FUMCOG, contributions to the Beth Stroud Legal Defense Fund are tax-deductible within the U.S.

When the legal proceedings are over, any money remaining in the fund will be used to support youth ministry at FUMCOG.
